One of my favorite things about family session is allowing the family to choose places that are important to them as a family. For the Willdens, that’s the International Peace Gardens located in Salt Lake City near their home. They also wanted a dog friendly location since they wanted to bring their three rescue dogs for some of the photos as well. It was like a mini-extended family shoot since they have 5 children, 3 dogs, and 2 parents! Their friend took the dogs for the second half of the shoot so we could focus on the family portraits for the second half though.

I had never been to International Peace Gardens before I had talked to them before, but it’s a cute park that you can walk through all the different countries and the countries have themes that are displayed in the park. It felt like you had been transported somewhere other than Salt Lake because it was so different than other parks in the area.
