Ben & Genevieve (or “Benevieve”) as they have named themselves, welcomed their first child Graham into the world. I met them before the arrival for their maternity photos in the beautiful fall colors in Little Cottonwood Canyon a couple weeks prior. Their newborn session took place at their home in Herriman, Utah. Benevieve love the color blue, as you can see from their clothing choices and their house! Good thing they had a boy! 🙂

The reason I love lifestyle newborn sessions at home is that it allows the family to be comfortable in their own home and we can capture the nursery and all the cute little details like the changing table, crib, and anything special to the family in particular. Another reason I love them is that newborn sessions are unlike other sessions since we are on the baby’s schedule. That allows the new mom to nurse when she needs to without concern for time.

Graham has a very adorable maritime themed nursery. Ben plays guitar, so he sang Graham a little song while Genevieve rocked Graham to sleep. These are the precious moments that are special to their family.
