When Andrea contacted me about having fall family portraits taken of her family, she was specific and really wanted some nice fall colors in a outdoor backdrop. Her family enjoys visiting Big Cottonwood Canyon, and two of her favorite spots are Silver Lake (near Brighton Ski Resort) and the Mill D area near the Donut Falls Trailhead. Unfortunately, our session that was originally scheduled at Silver Lake was snowed out (in October!).

It all worked out that we rescheduled because we ended up having the perfect weather and setting– sunny, perfect temperature, and lots of color at the Mill D area up on Big Cottonwood Canyon road. Her family arrived and I was super excited because her family was picture perfect! Her girls Sophia and Hana have some serious gymnastic skills which they showed off for me during our session.  Andrea also brought the cutest wagon, a tiny Adirondack chair, and their outfits were perfectly color coordinated!
