A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing the Nelson family up in Park City. While they live in Austin, Texas, they were visiting their son who lives in theĀ Salt Lake area for a summertime family get together!
The family loves the aspen trees that we have so many of up here in the Wasatch front, so they were hoping to get some fun family photos in the aspen groves. We decided to go up to Empire Pass between Park City and Salt Lake, and we had an awesome afternoon of fun. They certainly know how to make taking family photos fun– They brought the southern with them and tailgated our shoot. It actually reminded me of the Southern hospitality that I am used to back home in Florida. šĀ They also brought fun sunglasses and their drinks with them in some of our photos. How fun!
Our shoot started off silly, and they wanted to make sure we captured their fun side first!
After our initial group shots, the brothers took some photos with their girlfriend and wife, respectively. These two brothers struck some poses, and never missed a beat. This one’s one of their less silly ones. š And you can’t miss theĀ two lovebirds! Cynthia came into the shoot knowing the exact type of location and she made posing the larger groupĀ super easy- Don’t you think she did a great job!?
They wanted to make sure they got some great cousin photos while they were visiting Park City for the week. While we were doing the photos, the group noticed this funny shaped aspen tree. Look how it made a great seat and posing platform!
We had so many “bloopers” that I made an entire album of the silly photos for this family. I love how much personality shined through in the photos!
